Four levels of certification that build internal capability without losing method fidelity.
Most safety training events produce a burst of enthusiasm that fades within weeks. The supervisors who attended go back to old habits. The method degrades. The investment disappears.
The Sherpavisor certification pathway solves this by building layers of internal capability. Each level adds a new function: from practicing cognitive verification, to sustaining it on your site, to teaching it to others, to governing the quality of how it is taught.
Every certification at every level is approved by Sherpa Humaneering Group LLC. Certificates are non-transferable. The method does not degrade through uncontrolled replication because every person who practices, sustains, teaches, or governs it is developed, evaluated, and certified through this pathway.
The Ladder
Earned by completing the Sherpa Safety Guide Class, the 8-hour Crucible intervention. Every participant, from newest employee to CEO, earns this certification. This is the foundation. You understand cognitive verification, you have practiced the "Walk me through it" prompt, and you know the difference between verifying paperwork and verifying thinking.
The site-level champion who sustains cognitive verification after the initial engagement ends. Sherpavisors coach other Practitioners, monitor conversation quality, and operate the drift detection function. Without Sherpavisors on the ground, every transformation degrades within 12 to 18 months regardless of how strong the initial training was. This is the role that makes the method stick.
Licensed instructor authorized to deliver the Crucible commercially. Trainers must co-teach alongside a certified instructor and then solo teach under observation before earning this certification. In-person delivery only. This level exists to scale the method without diluting it.
Can certify Trainers, conduct quality assurance reviews, and govern delivery network fidelity. The train-the-trainer peak. Masters ensure that what gets taught in Year 5 is as rigorous as what was taught in Year 1. This is how the method scales globally without degrading.
Why This Matters
The goal is not a permanent consulting relationship. The goal is building enough certified internal capability that your organization can sustain cognitive verification independently. Sherpavisors (Level 2) are the key: they are the people on your site, every day, watching for drift, coaching conversations, and keeping the method alive between formal engagements.
